About Aerios
Aerios is a software platform for the air cargo charter market. Its Carrier App helps airlines and cargo charter operators manage enquiries, prepare quotes and track customer communications in one workflow, reducing manual data entry and the need to move between spreadsheets and separate systems. It brings together flight-planning data, fuel cost information, market insights and cargo loadability checks, helping charter sales teams assess operational requirements and commercial conditions when preparing a quote.
Industry: Air cargo, SaaS
The Challenge
Aerios sells to cargo airlines, charter operators and the brokers who work with them. That audience gets its industry news from a narrow set of specialist trade titles, where editors want a clear industry angle before they run a company announcement. Aerios needed to show why its product developments mattered to the people buying and quoting cargo charters.
Aerios had a steady flow of product news and a priority market in North America. We started working with Aerios in December 2025 to turn that news into coverage buyers would see, expand its reach across relevant trade media, and build a reputation that went beyond its own announcements.
Our Approach
A media list built for the market
We started from the contacts Aerios already had, then researched and expanded the list, removing non-target contacts and addresses that kept bouncing. Aerios introduced us to editors it knew at Air Cargo Week and Air Cargo News, and we built out contacts across the UAE, India and the US.
Every pitch and placement is logged in an outreach tracker with a coverage summary that updates automatically, so Aerios gets a stats snapshot each week.
Releases built from real product and customer data
Each release is briefed to a writer using Aerios’ own product detail and customer data, edited in-house, and reviewed by Aerios CEO Simon Watson before it goes out. Quotes from Aerios, its partners and customers explain the developments and their practical value.
The first release, in January 2026, announced Aerios’ Automation and AI module for cargo charter quoting. Later releases covered a CargoAi integration bringing aggregated airfreight rate and capacity data into the quoting workflow, Berry Aviation’s adoption of the Carrier App, and an integration with Wiremind Cargo’s SKYPALLET for cargo loadability assessments.
Timing matters in a market that spans time zones. We pitch the UAE and India in the morning and the US as its day begins, with follow-ups spaced to give editors time to respond. On the CargoAi release, we pitched 25 priority contacts first, then widened the list.
Content around the news
A monthly newsletter, Just Landed, brings coverage, product updates and events to Aerios’ customers and prospects. Blog posts on the Aerios site come with LinkedIn copy ready to post, and a monthly column, From the Charter Desk, shares the team’s observations from working with carriers and following developments across the cargo charter market.
Together, these give Aerios regular opportunities to share its expertise and keep customers and prospects informed between announcements.
A voice in the trade press
When CAAS ran the first release, its editors invited a thought-leadership piece for the Innovation Insights section of the magazine. We reframed the announcement as an industry perspective in Simon’s voice, with no new claims, and he checked the terminology before it went to our editor.
Turning visibility into conversations
Since September 2026, we have also run persona-led email campaigns to carrier segments, starting with North American on-demand operators. Each email focuses on one pain point and one call to action, with messaging tailored to the operators receiving it.
The Results
Coverage in the titles buyers read
Air Cargo News, Air Cargo Week and STAT Times have each covered Aerios on several occasions, and CAAS has published an expert byline. The coverage spans product launches, integrations and a carrier partnership, giving Aerios repeated visibility in publications serving its target market.
DR is Ahrefs Domain Rating. We calculate coverage rate as pieces of coverage divided by contacts pitched. Industry benchmark: mvpr.io.
Editorial opportunities beyond announcements
Coverage has also spread beyond the publications we pitch. Across several releases, news picked up by our target titles has appeared in other publications, helping us identify relevant outlets to add to Aerios’ media list and track how its announcements travel through the industry. Editors have also invited Aerios to contribute insights and data to industry reports.
Aerios has also reported seeing trade coverage generated by the programme referenced in Google AI Overviews for branded searches.
What changed on sales calls
“We don’t have to explain who we are anymore on sales calls. People see the coverage and know who we are, which means we can go straight into conversations about how we can help.”
Simon Watson, CEO, Aerios
Aerios reports that its sales pipeline has grown dramatically since the programme began, alongside increased awareness and easier first conversations with prospects.
Conclusion
As of October 2026, our work with Aerios is ongoing. New releases, the monthly newsletter and the segment-led email campaigns continue, building on the trade coverage and editorial relationships established during the programme.
